Reporting Maintenance Issues in Your Residence Hall

Residents play an important role in maintaining their living environment by promptly reporting any issues. To request repairs, submit a work order through URI MyHousing as soon as possible.

Service Timelines & Priorities

  • Urgent issues (no heat, lack of water, lock concerns, etc.) are prioritized for immediate attention.
  • All other requests are addressed based on severity and urgency.
  • Submitting a work order through URI MyHousing ensures the fastest response, as our HRL Residential Facilities team is automatically notified.

After-Hours Assistance

Living on campus is a 24/7 experience, and we’re here to support you!

  • After 4:30 PM: Submit a work order in URI MyHousing and call Public Safety’s non-emergency line at (401) 874-4910 if the issue is urgent.
  • While not all after-hours requests are addressed immediately, HRL Residential Facilities and Facilities Operations have on-call staff for emergencies.

Checking the Status of a Work Order

  • Your Graduate Hall Director or Hall Director is a great first point of contact.
  • For further assistance, call the Control Center at (401) 874-4060 to speak with a Facilities Operations representative.

By reporting issues quickly and using the proper channels, we can ensure a safe and comfortable living environment for all residents. Thank you for helping us keep your home on campus running smoothly!
