The journal of the Rhode Island Historical Society has released its Fall 2021 edition which features two recent History MA graduates from URI. Rhode Island History is a peer-reviewed journal that highlights the latest scholarship on Rhode Island’s varied history. Patrick Crowley, who received his History MA in 2021, published the article “African American-Led Worker Solidarity in World War II Providence: The Story of Boilermakers Local 308.” Andrew Polta, who received his History MA in 2018, published the article “Disorderly House Keepers and the Struggler for Respectability in Early Nineteenth-Century Providence.”
