Aidan Barlow-Diemer will receive her MA in History (in the History, Archaeology and Anthropology track) this May. The recipient of multiple academic awards, Aidan came to URI after working in commercial fishing and has focused her scholarship on exploring the human condition in maritime cultures. Her research experience includes work for the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution, and she has worked in museums in locations ranging from Alaska to Israel. Her faculty sponsor describes her as “an exceptional young interdisciplinary scholar” who “has an outstanding future in the humanities.”
