
Erik Loomis, Assistant Professor of History, received the Social Sciences, Arts, and Humanities Early Career Faculty Research and Scholarship Excellence Award on May 17th, 2016. Dr. Loomis was one of only nine “outstanding individuals” to be recognized across the University of Rhode Island. The Early Career Faculty award “recognizes full-time non-tenured tenure-track or full-time research faculty in the early phase of their careers who have engaged in superior research, scholarly, or creative activities” (Press Release).
