Jonah Major is a senior double-majoring in Film Media and Japanese and described by his faculty sponsor as a “polymathic superstar.” Jonah, the recipient of numerous scholarships, contributes to the arts and humanities at URI by writing and directing numerous films and hosting monthly film screenings and discussions for the Japanese Department. Jonah’s senior project is a film called Apollonius’ Bucket, which his faculty sponsor describes as an “utterly original project” that is a
“brilliant synthesis of both humanistic traditions and filmic techniques.”
