Beginning in January 2022, the College of Arts and Sciences will offer its first ever course aimed at cultivating workplace readiness for Fine Arts and Humanities majors. Students will identify skills, create personalized career readiness content, discuss various related topics with URI alumni and other expert guests, and engage with fellow arts and humanities majors across the college about job search and workplace issues.
The course will be co-taught by Dr. Nedra Reynolds (Writing and Rhetoric) and Dr. Cheryl Foster (Political Science) on Wednesdays, via Zoom, from 5-6 pm. Workplace Readiness for Arts and Humanities Majors (ITR 306) is a one-credit course with the grade of S/U, and is open to students with sophomore, junior, or senior standing with the following majors: ART, CHN, ENG, FRN, HIS, GER, ITL, JPN, MUS, PHL, SPA, THE.
