Sungyoun received the Outstanding MS Thesis Research Award in the 2025 Graduate Commencement Celebration Reception, which was held prior to the official graduation ceremony. His thesis title is “A Compact Frequency Comb Generator for Large-Format Superconducting Microwave Kinetic Inductance Detectors.” Congratulations!


April 2025
Sungyoun successfully completed his MS defense on April 16 2025. Over the last 1.5 years, he has published three conference papers and now is working on his first journal article. Sungyoun will continue his doctoral program at URI. Congratulations!

Sungyoun awarded a travel grant from IEEE Circuits and Systems Society. This grant will support his travel to IEEE ISCAS 2025, London, UK.
