Office of Institutional Research

The fundamental mission of the Office of Institutional Research unit is to collect, organize, analyze, and report institutional and other data to support URI management, operations, strategic decision-making, and planning activities. This mission contributes to our effort to provide data and information related to projected needs, program objectives, and the efficiency and effectiveness in the use of institutional resources.  As a unit within the Office of Provost, IR meets information needs of the University community and is the official source of data/information for the institution. IR has data analysis and reporting activities and procedures designed to meet the needs of constituencies both internal and external to the University based on strategic priority needs as well as University and national survey timelines.
