As Heather transitions out of her post-doc in the lab, she will be joining the California Coastal Commission as an environmental scientist who will develop recommendations to the Commission on energy and resource development ( wind, wave, coastal power plants, desalination, reef development, etc.) along the California Coast. The mission of the Commission is to implement the Coastal Act and to provide for the balanced use of the coastal zone and to protect, restore, and enhance coastal and marine resources for the continuing benefit of current and future generations.
