Rickie (pictured, with a fellow GSO student) volunteered at the Blessing of the Fleet, a multi-day event featuring a parade of dressed-up commercial and recreational watercraft that are blessed by a local clergymen with good fortune. Aside wishing the boats well, Rickie represented GSO by co-hosting a booth and discussing her research in the broader context of the university and environmental science.
