NOAA is observing Pride month, an annual celebration of LGBTQ+ identity and resilience with an online webinar and celebration. Susanne served as one of the panelists discussing the role of LGBTQ+ identity in the workplace. The observance centers around ‘bringing your whole self to work’ and there are over 500 attendees expected. The goals included celebrating LGBTQ+ identities, raising awareness and historical remembrance, advocacy and not least building community and solidarity irrespective of ones personal identity.
