Colin Kinniburgh is a Brooklyn-based freelance journalist covering climate change, cities, and inequality. His work has appeared in outlets including Grist, the Nation, and the New Republic. He also staffs the U.S. news desk at France 24. Before going freelance, he worked for five years as a staff editor at Dissent magazine. He then reported from Paris for just over a year, before returning to his native New York in summer 2020.
