Graduate Audition Requirements

For Graduate Performance Majors:

• four octave scales: major, minor, modes in all 12 keys
• four octave major, minor, dominant seventh arpeggios, all 12 keys
• scales in sixths, thirds and octaves, all keys, to three octaves
• Two Popper Etudes or Piatti Caprices, and 3 contrasting movements from Bach Suites from the 1st 3 Suites
• First Movement of a standard concerto: Saint-Seans, Boccherini, Haydn C major, Lalo, Elgar
• one movement from a Baroque, Classical, Romantic or contemporary work

For Graduate Music Education Majors or Graduate Secondary Instrument:

• three octave scales: major, minor, modes in all 12 keys
• three octave major, minor, dominant seventh arpeggios, all 12 keys
• scales in sixths, thirds and octaves, all keys, to two octaves
• One Popper Etude or Piatti Caprice or  2 contrasting movements from Bach Suites from the 1st 3 Suites
• one movement from a Baroque, Classical, Romantic or contemporary work
