Undergraduate Audition Requirements
- All major scales (two octaves when possible), full-range chromatic scale.
- A solo of your choice. Suggestions include:
- Gliere, Haydn, Mozart, or Strauss Concertos
- Beethoven or Hindemith Sonatas
- Dukas Villanelle
- Stain-Saens Morceau de Concert
- Schumann Adagio and Allegro
- An etude of your choice. Suggested etude books include:
- Gallay
- Kling
- Kopprasch
- Reynolds
- Sight-reading
- Optional: orchestral excerpts from the standard repertoire.
