Biography
Hannah Martin is a vocalist, pianist, educator, and arts administrator whose practice spans jazz, contemporary music, musical theatre, and choral performance. She holds a Bachelor of Music in Jazz Studies and a Master of Music in Voice Performance from Ithaca College.
An active educator and administrator, Hannah has worked extensively across Toronto’s music and theatre communities, including as a chorister and Board Chair of Exultate Chamber Singers. Her choral work includes performance, artistic planning, community engagement, and arts leadership, while her work as choir director with Sistema Toronto has focused on accessible, community-based music education.
As an arranger and bandleader, Hannah has worked closely with the internationally acclaimed vocal jazz ensemble New York Voices and is an active member of the Jazz Education Network (JEN). Her pedagogical interests include healthy and sustainable vocal technique across styles, microphone technique, improvisation, and arranging for chamber ensembles.
