Meet your Instructor

URI offers proficiency-level professional development in Multilingual Learner (MLL) Education that is specifically designed for school and district leaders. 

Complete the cohort by June 30, 2027, to apply for RIDE’s MLL Endorsement and meet proficiency expectations. The cohort begins in September 2026 and ends in May 2027.

  • Participants can earn 6-graduate level credits and PLUs for participation.
  • Courses are online with hybrid format: asynchronous online and synchronous via Zoom.
  • Synchronous classes (6 per semester) will be on Tuesday nights from 5:30-8:30 p.m..
  • Participation aligns with the updated MLL Regulations (proficiency-level training) and RI’s Blueprint for MLL Success, Goal 2: Develop capacity for all educators, including administrators, to effectively serve MLLs.

Cost is $1,125/course; $2,250 total.
