The PBL and the Kausch Lab are funded by The United States Department of Energy in collaboration with The Donald Danforth Plant Science Center, and The National Science Foundation, and with goals to develop sorghum bicolor L. as an agriculturally sustainable renewable bioenergy resource. The PBL serves as the central hub for creating and analyzing the transgenic and genome edited lines required for this research on various trait genes and technology development projects.
