Lithium Ion Batteries: The 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry

abstract
Lithium Ion Batteries currently fulfill a very useful role as the power sources for many portable electronics and will continue to play a greater role in the future for such important applications as electric vehicles and grid storage. Because of the importance of LIB’s now and in the future, the 2019 Nobel Prize in Chemistry has been awarded to three scientists for their roles in LIB development.
