Professors Ping Xu and Peter McLaughlin have been appointed to editorial roles with Policy & Internet (P&I), a leading interdisciplinary journal examining the societal implications of digital technologies and digital governance. Professor Xu serves as the journal’s U.S. Regional Editor, and Professor McLaughlin serves an Academic Editor.

Policy & Internet publishes research on topics ranging from misinformation, algorithmic decision-making, digital geopolitics, online harms, privacy, and freedom of expression, with a focus on how governments, industries, communities, and individuals respond to rapidly evolving technologies. These editorial appointments reflect the department’s ongoing engagement in the scholarly infrastructure of the field and its contributions to shaping research in digital governance and public policy.
