Daniel Carrigg

Biography

Dan Carrigg joined the URI Political Science Department in the Fall of 2021. His research interests include American political thought, American political development, federalism, poverty policy, inequality, and energy policy. His real-world politics and policy experience includes having worked for the State of Rhode Island as Chief of Program Development in the Office of Energy Resources and Deputy Director at the Office of Attorney General.

Professor Carrigg teaches undergraduate courses on American politics, social policy, the Constitution and Supreme Court, legislative process and public policy, and the American presidency.
