Biography

Ying Liu is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Political Science at the University of Rhode Island. Her research interests include public and nonprofit administration, social equity, human resource management, and local governance. She currently sutdies how women’s representation shapes public organizations and policies. Her work has appeared in journals including Public Administration Review, Policy Studies Journal, Review of Public Personnel Administration, and The China Quarterly.

Dr. Liu teaches courses in Public Administration, Diversity and Inclusion, and Leadership. She previously served as Program Director of the Junior Woman’s Club of Arlington-Keary in New Jersey and is an active member of the General Federation of Women’s Clubs. Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, camping, and dancing.
