URI Political Science Research

URI Political Science faculty conduct research across a wide range of topics in American politics, public law, public administration, comparative politics, and international relations. Faculty focused on American politics and policy examine issues such as immigration and trade policy, congressional representation, courts and constitutional law, political participation, technology and political behavior, the policymaking process, electoral reform, gender and politics, and social equity in public administration. PSC faculty focused on issues spanning the globe have published research on democratic governance, corruption, conflict, civil-military relations, human rights, protest and repression, international organizations, and the political dimensions of environmental and security challenges.
