Caitlin’s Advice: Don’t worry that you’re not a biology major from an Ivy league school. An “A” is an “A”; study what excites you, what you are passionate about, and what serves you as a person–it will also help you stand out immensely when you apply to medical school. Foster your passions and talents and find ways to use them to serve your community. This is so important. Find professionals in your field of interest to mentor and support you. But above all, work hard and have confidence in yourself–the world needs what you have to offer. You can do this!
