Kendra’s Advice: Take advantage of everything URI can offer to you! If you show up and put in the hard work, people will notice, leading to countless opportunities for personal and professional advancement. Be a “yes person,” but don’t stretch yourself too thin—find a balance between school, extracurricular activities, work, exercise, and relaxation. Despite my busy schedule, I’d always find a way to enjoy a run on the treadmill or a group exercise class at the gym, and that’s certainly something that kept me grounded. Be sure to find healthy ways to release stress! But most importantly, do things because you have a genuine interest, not just to add another line on your CV.
