Biography

Luzi Shi is Assistant Professor in the Criminology and Criminal Justice Department. She received her PhD in Criminal Justice from the University at Albany in 2020. Prior to joining URI in 2023, she was an Assistant Professor at Bridgewater State University. Her research interests include public opinion about crime, media, gender, and inequality. Her recent work has appeared in Criminology, Journal of Experimental Criminology, and Criminal Justice and Behavior, among other outlets. She teaches classes on corrections and research methods. In her spare time, she likes to learn figure skating with her daughter and tries different cuisines with her husband.
