Summit Notes
This year, in order to hold the Summit, we had to go off campuses – due to closure of the Memorial Union and lack of other campuses facilities that could accommodate the program logistics (i.e. main room at discussion tables with seating for 150, plus room for staging, plus 3 additional breakout rooms at four discussion tables for 40).

A report from the National Leadership Council for Liberal Education & America’s Promise (the LEAP initiative) discusses details the prior problems higher education have faced and bases a new Framework for Excellence to help reform education.
As a supplement to the College Learning for the New Global Century report, Employers’ Views on Learning Outcomes and Assessment Approaches were added as a separate Executive Summary.
Two other recent additions include details of employer’s views on college learning in the wake of the economic downturn as an updated report and a “More Emphasis” report that details where employers want colleges to “place more emphasis” on Essential Learning Outcomes.
