Adam Moore

Biography

Dr. Moore, Associate Professor in Special Education, holds a Ph.D. from the URI/Rhode Island College joint doctoral program. During his tenure at Roger Williams University (2018-2023), he started and directed their special education graduate program. A national leader in the Council for Exceptional Children (CEC), Dr. Moore supports teacher educators in small programs. With 19 years’ experience, his area of expertise includes teacher preparation program design, accreditation, and improvement – currently serving as one of seven national experts on the CEC Accreditation Commission. Dr. Moore’s research focuses on inclusive and equity-minded practices, supporting families, and the experiences of disabled college students.
