Biography

Andrea Paiva, PhD joins the Psychology Department as Assistant Teaching Professor following many years as Research Faculty working with James Prochaska in Psychology at URI.  Dr. Paiva’s focus has been in research methods and statistics in psychology with content focus in health psychology and behavior change. Her undergraduate teaching for the department will mirror these skill areas. Dr. Paiva has more than 70 peer reviewed publications and will bring her rich research background to support undergraduate and graduate research projects.
