Biography

Dr Ross holds a PhD in Germanic Literatures and Languages with Film and Media Studies from Washington University in St Louis. Previous positions include Lecturer in German at the University of Reading and a teaching postdoc at WashU. At Reading, she served as High School outreach officer and Study Abroad liaison. From 2021-23, she was EDI Chair and Officer for the Association for German Studies in Great Britain and Ireland. Her research deals with racialization in Turkish-German culture and she is committed to employing inclusive and creative pedagogical practices. Dr Ross is also a keen swimmer and dancer.
