Biography

Dr. Fischer obtained his PhD degree from Eberhard Karls University of Tübingen in 2018 and then did several postdoctoral stints in Germany, Japan and more recently in the USA (at Harvard). His research focuses on understanding the fate of chemicals in and between organisms and their surrounding environment, aiming to reveal the mechanisms underlying adverse human and ecosystem health effects. His work develops and experimentally parameterize chemical transport and toxicokinetic models to close the gap between toxicological and epidemiological data and realistic exposure conditions.
