Biography

Jueman (Mandy) Zhang is joining URI as an associate professor at the Harrington School of Communication and Media. Her areas of expertise include multimedia journalism, media effects, as well as artificial intelligence and big data in communication. She received a Ph.D. in mass communications and an M.S. in applied statistics from Syracuse University, as well as an M.A. in journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia. Previously, she was an associate professor at Long Island University and New York Institute of Technology. Prior to entering academia, she worked as a reporter for Shanghai Daily. She also had experience with NBC.
