Biography

Kayla Soares holds her first Master’s degree in Education from the University of Rhode island and her second Master’s degree in French Language Teaching from Southern Oregon University, completed in Angers, France at the Université Catholique de l’Ouest. Kayla will soon be starting her PhD in Langues, cultures, et littératies at Simon Fraser University. Her research interests include digital and multimodal literacies, instructional technology, curriculum development, phonetics, and more recently, language center design. In addition to being a URI alumna (undergraduate and graduate), Kayla has taught French for several years at URI as an adjunct professor.
