Biography

Dr. Camacho is a Rhode Island native and two-time graduate of the University of Rhode Island. Driven by a mission centered in mentorship and student support, he strives to create a learning environment that taps into the potential of each student and challenges them to become active learners. To accomplish this, he relies on his 14 years of higher education experience across a variety of functional areas, institution types, and geographic locations. He believes that positive student success is driven by an intersectional and systemic approach to student-centered learning, teaching, and student support services; one that is maintained through a commitment to collaboration, dynamic change, and a high level of responsiveness.
