Biography

Martina Muller is an Assistant Teaching Professor in the Department of Natural Resources Science (NRS) and studies the behavior, physiology and ecology of seabirds around the world. She holds a B.S. in Wildlife and Conservation Biology from the NRS department at URI, an M.S. from Wake Forest University, and a Ph.D. in Behavioral Biology from the University of Groningen, Netherlands, where she also conducted research under a Fulbright grant. Before returning to URI, she worked as a postdoctoral research fellow for several years at the University of Nagoya in Japan. She has gained diverse experiences from living and working on five continents, which have shaped her passion for sharing knowledge and inspiring future conservation biologists.
