Nicole O’Malley

Biography

Nicole O’Malley is an Assistant Professor and founding director of URI’s Music Therapy program. Nicole received a Bachelor of Music in Music Therapy from Anna Maria College and a Master of Arts in Music Therapy from Berklee College of Music. She is pursuing her PhD in Interdisciplinary Neuroscience at the University of RI and is a Neurologic Music Therapy Fellow. She is the Executive Director of a local nonprofit organization, the regional Government Relations Representative, and RI task force chair. Research interests include clinical interdisciplinary research, the neurobiology of music, music therapy and neurobiology across the lifespan in varying populations.
