Biography

A native of New York City, Dr. Lundy earned her doctorate in higher education leadership from the University of Hartford and a master’s degree in psychology from Harvard University. Prior to joining URI she served as an education advocate for the Newark New Jersey Family Court working on behalf of the foster child. She is extremely excited to be a member of Dr. Su Boatright’s team where she teaches psychology 113. She also teaches Women and Psychology, Human Development and Multicultural Psychology.

Ted Talks

Research indicates that the average American has very little knowledge of the plight of the foster child. Dr. Lundy’s research intersects at college degree completion for demographics underrepresented in higher education, inequity in the foster care care removal process, and educational trajectories vis a vis social capital.
