Biography

Dominique is a doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Rhode Island. She graduated with a B.S. in Psychology at Syracuse University in 2023. Upon graduation, Dominique worked as a research assistant at URI’S STRESS Lab under Dr. Nicole Weiss on multiple NIH grants focused on the co-occurrence of PTSD and substance use.

Research

Research Interests: Dominique‘s work focuses on focuses on the link between trauma and criminal legal system involvement, specifically, how early life traumatic experiences, trauma-related psychopathology, and maladaptive coping mechanisms contribute to offending behavior in marginalized populations.
