Jennika Jenkins

Biography

Dr. Jenkins is a lecturer at URI, primarily teaching research and statistical methodology in the behavioral sciences. She joined URI after earning her Ph.D. in Applied Experimental Psychology from Old Dominion University in Norfolk, VA. Her research interests include the study of early family dynamics, with emphasis on developmental psychopathology, emotional coping, and transgenerational trauma. She is interested in the determinants of parenting that may be identified as key risk or protective factors to prevent patterns of stress and abuse within families.
