Biography

Andrew is a first-year student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Rhode Island. He attended College of the Holy Cross in Worcester where he earned his BA in Psychology with a concentration in Africana studies. Following undergrad, Andrew worked as a research assistant under the CARE unit at Boston Medical Center where his research specialized in harm reduction, and overdose prevention

Research

Andrew’s research interests include studying protective behavioral strategies for substance use within diverse populations including how motivational processes and co-occurring mental health factors shape engagement in risk reduction. He is also interested in examining PTSD assessments across different cultures.
