Research
My research focuses on understanding how early childhood adversity shapes youth development and health across emotional, behavioral, and physiological domains. Specifically, I am interested in identifying family-level protective factors, particularly positive parenting practices and supportive parent–child relationships, that may buffer the effects of adversity and promote resilience. My recent work has focused on cardiometabolic risk, exploring how family-based interventions and parenting processes may mitigate the long-term health consequences of early adversity and support children’s holistic well-being.
