Biography
Jewelia is a second year student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program at the University of Rhode Island. Prior to coming to URI, Jewelia was a research assistant in the Health, Emotion, and Addiction Laboratory (HEAL) at the University of Southern California Keck School of Medicine. Jewelia holds B.A. in Psychology and Science in Society from Wesleyan University (2020).
Research
Jewelia’s research takes a strengths-based approach to understand coping and resilience within historically marginalized communities characterized by experiences of trauma.
