Biography
Katerine (Katya) Rashkovsky is a first-year doctoral student in the Clinical Psychology Ph.D. program under the mentorship of Dr. Jillian Scheer. They completed their B.S. in Psychology with a specialization in Clinical Psychology at the University of California, San Diego. During and after completing their undergraduate degree, Katya worked as a research assistant and study coordinator at the San Diego Veterans Affairs Healthcare System in the Innovative Mental Health, PTSD, and Relationship Treatments (IMPART) Lab. At the IMPART lab, they supported various projects focused on increasing access to and enhancing the efficacy of treatments for posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD).
Research
Their research interests surround the intersection of trauma, PTSD, and minority stress in sexual and gender minority populations.
