Research Community –
As many of you know, we will be migrating from Cayuse to InfoEd for proposal submissions. Over the past year, we have been busy developing and testing the new InfoEd Proposal Development (PD) module. Over time, additional post-award and compliance modules will be added to the InfoEd suite.
As we roll out InfoEd PD, it is critical that all those that currently use Cayuse participate in InfoEd PD training. For many staff, we have already conducted training as we ensure the system is performing properly. We are now ramping up our training efforts as we expect that all proposals submitted after approximately February 15, 2021 will be submitted through InfoEd.
For training purposes, we have launched a new website (https://web.uri.edu/research-admin/infoed-era-system/) that contains:
- Access to the Test InfoEd site. On this site, you can practice using InfoEd. Note: This site is for testing only.
- Training materials, including FAQs and videos. We will be continuously added training content.
- A calendar of upcoming training sessions and open office hours. All training sessions and office hours will be conducted remotely. Note: the office hours are geared toward individuals that have already attended training and are now working in the test site or have been given access to the live production site.
- A training scheduling form. If you would like to schedule a training for a small group, please submit a form (the online form is located under the FAQ section).
Please review these materials, and importantly attend an upcoming training. Training sessions will generally be sponsor agency specific, so please attend training sessions that are most applicable to your area. Most training sessions will be recorded and posted on the website. We will try to communicate to the community as new training sessions are scheduled, but please check the site often.
Also note, that we have scheduled a spring semester Research Community Meeting for February 4 at 1PM. During this meeting we will give an update on InfoEd, along with updates from Sponsored Projects, Sponsored and Cost Accounting, and Research Integrity. Details are on the training calendar and: https://rhody.webex.com/meet/tedmyatturi.edu (Call-in: 1-415-655-0001, Access Code: 737 059 178).
