The establishment of strong mentor-mentee relationships is a key aspect of the RI-INBRE program, and we believe that their engagement is critical for successful outcomes. RI-INBRE investigators will meet with their mentors twice a year through Faculty Development Mentoring Meetings. These meetings will be attended by: the Investigator, their mentor, a mentoring scholar (an experienced PUI senior investigator), the respective PUI Steering Committee member, and RI-INBRE Principal Investigator Bongsup Cho or Program Coordinator Brett Pellock. The mentoring scholar will run the meeting and will prepare a report which summarizes the meeting in terms of progress towards fulfilling specific aims, abstracts and manuscripts, student training, grant submission, and expectation for the subsequent six months.
