Exploring the history, clinical applications and pharmacology of aspirin in virtual reality.
Methotrexate is a folate inhibitor that targets the dihydrofolate reductase (DHFR) enzyme, resulting in interference with nucleotide synthesis and cellular repair. For this reason, methotrexate is used as an anti-cancer drug. The goal of this app is to demonstrate the activity of methotrexate when interacting with DHFR in a virtual environment that requires the user to interact with the molecules. From the technical perspective, this was the first app where we experimented with molecular animations, in-app quizzes, and text-to-voice capabilities.
