Burrillville was incorporated in 1806 and is a rural town located in the northwest corner of Rhode Island, and is the only Rhode Island town bordered both by Massachusetts and Connecticut. Like many towns in Rhode Island, Burrillville is known by its village centers that were created around the original mill complexes.
