Research
J.D. Swanson’s research lab works primarily on cell-cell communication, using raspberry and blackberry prickles, human stomach cancer cells and algal blooms as models. The goal of his research is to address the big picture question of relationship vs. form/function, by way of comparing across organisms to assess if the relevant molecular pathways are conserved.
