Research: My research examines soil properties, the critters that live in the soil (benthic infauna), and water quality data to measure environmental impacts from oyster aquaculture, on three RI coastal lagoons (Potter, Ninigret, and Winnapaug ponds). By examining these parameters within preexisting oyster farms (ranging from 0-20 years of use), we are able to observe and measure impacts at various durations of aquaculture use, and at various oyster stocking densities.
