The Rhode Island NSF EPSCoR Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship program gives students like Gabrielle Kuba, a rising senior at Salve Regina University in Newport, RI, the opportunity to discover what the scientist life is like. For 10 weeks, SURF students immerse themselves in unparalleled, hands-on research that often turns out to be as much about finding themselves as it it about science.

RI NSF EPSCoR is supported in part by the U.S. National Science Foundation under EPSCoR Cooperative Agreements #OIA-2433276 and in part by the RI Commerce Corporation via the Science and Technology Advisory Committee [STAC].
