Improving Zooplankton Inputs for NPZD Models of Narragansett Bay

Nutrient-Phytoplankton-Zooplankton-Detritus (NPZD) models are going to be an important tool in predicting the impacts of climate change on Narragansett Bay as well as creating effective management strategies for the Bay. One of the greatest constraints on these models is the lack of data related to zooplankton concentrations for model initialization and validation. Past NPZD models of Narragansett Bay are informing where data are collected to improve the most recent NPZD models of the Bay.
